What are your thoughts on medications?

We believe in treating the entire person with a comprehensive system of care rather than just depending upon pharmacology.  We believe in pursuing health life style practices such as a balanced diet, exercise, meditation, adequate rest, and medications where necessary.

How long does treatment last?

Treatment duration varies from individual to individual.  Every individual is given a thorough assessment, and then a treatment plan is developed to address the unique needs of the individual.

At what age/when should a child or adolescent be seen?

We see children as young as three years and adults of all ages.

Does the gender of the therapist matter? Should I see someone who is either my gender or the opposite gender?

Rather than focusing on gender specific matches, we recommend a therapist who understands  the values of the client and is willing to be non judgmental and empathetic towards the client’s circumstance.

How long is each therapy session?

Medication reviews typically last between fifteen minutes and half an hour.  Some complex cases last longer.

Counseling sessions typically last between 50 minutes to an hour.
